VIDEO CHAT: Bex Caputo (BexTalksSex & Dildorks) w/ Nicholas Tanek

Bex Caputo is a sex educator, blogger, speaker, podcaster, and dildo peddler. They’ve been a proud and undeniable kinkster ever since they insisted on being served their meals in a dog bowl at the age of 8, (and even before that, probably). They’re a Virgo,1 a Hufflepuff, a pup, and a nonbinary queerdo who grew up into the pop punk skater boy they had a crush on in high school.

Like many people, they’re a nerd, which means they’re really good at learning everything they can about something they find interesting. Unlike many people, the thing they decided to learn a lot about is sex. Not only do they love to learn, but they love to talk, and the more they talked about sex the more they realized that the rest of the world wasn’t talking about it.

Keeping sex in the dark breeds nothing but shame and ignorance, and in our culture the simple act of talking about sex is revolutionary. Bex believes that by getting out there, educating, and sharing their experience they are acting as a beacon of permission and their goal is to empower other people to feel comfortable in their sexuality. In the Fall of 2012, Bex launched BexTalksSex, which started simply as a sex toy review site but grew to include sex education and personal essays. Four years later, in the Fall of 2016, they paired with Kate Sloanto launch The Dildorks, a podcast on sex, dating, and masturbating.2

Bex is queer, which means they are attracted to people of all genders- regardless of what they have in their pants. They prefer the term queer over bisexual or pansexual because they feel it encompasses their social and political identities as much as it does their sexuality. They’re nonbinary and transmasculine which means they have a lot of feelings about their gender and don’t really fit into the “man” or “woman” box, but they usually present as masculine and use they/them pronouns.

They’re a submissive pup who enjoys pain, blowjobs, service, flirting, consensual objectification, and leather. They love large toysg-spot stimulationbutt stuff, and thuddy impact. They are non-monogamous, which means they have multiple partners,3 they’re kind of a slut, and they have a long distance Sir.

Bex appeared as a BDSM educator on True Life: I Need Danger Sex, guested on The Bed Post PodcastSex Gets Real, and Sex City Radio, is a guest contributer for Swingtowns and Glamour, and has ranked as one of Kinkly’s Top 100 Sex Bloggers since 2013.
