BDSM On A Budget: YKF Interviewee Edition #ThriftyKinkThursday

by Miss_Melissa_

In his interviews, the Esteemed Nicholas Tanek has graciously included a budget kink question as a nod to these Thrifty Kink articles we try to post each week. The amazing folks that have answered this question have given some really fantastic ideas, and so I thought it was time to start harvesting these pearls of wisdom.

This is the first part in an ongoing series of Thrifty Kink articles that will feature a handful of excellent budget-minded BDSM gear suggestions from the witty, resourceful, kinky minds of the many people Nicholas has and will interview in days to come!

Mistress Chloe Rose

When I heard her say that one of her favorite implements is a fly swatter, I think that I gasped and smiled because that was something that never crossed my mind. The very next time that I went to the dollar store, I bought a purple one with a huge flower on it and imagined slapping my pantyboy’s cute little behind with it.

“Horribly sting-y.”

She warned that the cheap ones will break somewhat easily and if that happens, could cut someone, so be careful. Unless, of course, your partner would enjoy that. Mistress Chloe’s has a telescoping handle which, “in a pinch, you can use it as a cane, too.”

Elena De Luca

Elena and her friends have a FANTASTIC term for this: “Dollar-store Domming.” I thoroughly enjoyed the glowing grin on her face while she described using a pair of chopsticks with a rubber band on each end as nipple clamps.

*pinch*

Another suggestion was using Bengay for CBT (cock and ball torture). Ouch!

Ginger Huntress

The Ginger Huntress had quite a few great suggestions. The one I’m most eager to try, because sensation play is so fun, is making vampire gloves. She gave credit for this idea to her friend Dirty Lola. Gloves can be purchased at the dollar store, and you push “the spikeys that you put on the back of snaps” through the gloves. The “spikeys” are called push & clinch snaps, and they can be found here.

The “spikeys.”
OoooOoh. Scratchy.

Other ideas: a ping pong paddle can make a great ass-paddling paddle, and you can wrap tape around a handful of wooden skewers to make a great tool for scratching people!

Mistress Porcelain Midnight

Mistress Porcelain told an amusing anecdote about a toy that she made while at a “kinky prom.” She took a balloon weight from a table decoration, tied a piece of rope to it, and swung it at her friend’s balls! With consent, of course. She said that the decoration is weighted with four pounds of cement, so you MUST use care when wielding an object such as this. You can do a lot of damage if you are not a responsible dominant.

How fancy!

I hope that you can put some of these great tips to good use. Always remember to discuss plans ahead of time so that you and your play partner(s) are on the same page. Do some online research and practice on your own body when trying something new. BE SAFE and HAVE FUN!
