“To be able to live my identity authentically was very freeing.”

Whores of Babylon reveal how they built a traveling BDSM dungeon in the Bible Belt (Corpus Christi, TX). LadyRed (IMK) and Nicholas Tanek (YKF) sit down with the powerhouse throuple behind Whores of Babylon—Lady Vanovia Serpentine, Absinthe Nevermore, and Sylhouette—for a raw, unfiltered conversation about turning religious backlash into their brand name, running the only kink-safe traveling dungeon in South Texas, creating inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+, disabled, and Deaf communities, and building real community through education, consent, and kinky celebration at Coastal Bend Kink Weekend.

This episode is also known as “Community Connections, Kinky Celebrations”

From Facebook Marketplace dungeon hacks and fire cupping classes to 10 years of poly life, intense aftercare, and reclaiming the word “whore,” this episode is a masterclass in what happens when three women decide the dungeon is about so much more than play. Your Kinky Friends podcast & Interview My Kink Podcast team up to interview THE WHORES OF BABYLON Whores of Babylon — Coastal Bend’s Kink Community Hub Whores of Babylon is a Coastal Bend–based kink organization that brings people together through Community Connections and Kinky Celebrations, with a focus on inclusivity, education, and safe, consensual experiences Whores of Babylon is run by a throuple — Viktoria “Absinthe” Janosek, Clara “Lady Vanovia Serpentine” Janosek, and Sarah “Sylhouette” Janosek — who also produce Coastal Bend Kink Weekend This annual three‑day convention in Corpus Christi offers: Educational lectures and demonstrations on kink practices A Play Space (dungeon) for consensual kink activities under strict rules (no under‑21s, no cell phones, no intercourse) Community contests and cultural events Community Impact According to Absinthe, the group was inspired by a lack of local education and support in the kink scene, leading to injuries and unsafe experiences. Their events aim to fill that gap by providing a safe, informed, and welcoming environment where men can be vulnerable, women can feel powerful, non‑binaries and trans people can exist, and everyone can belong
